New Android versions for Date Ariane Remastered and Ariane in Paradise on itch

If you own Date Ariane Remastered and/or Ariane in Paradise on itch, there are now new Android versions available. Google keeps changing what you need to do to get these to work via “side loading”, but if you can get past these restrictions, these two games have been updated on the Android side.

Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 for Android
When I released Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 in Android last February, it was just a direct port from the desktop version.

I know some buttons needed to be enlarged to make the game more usable on phones, but I was just surprised I could make the android version, as I had bad luck doing so since Renpy 7.44
Since porting DAR2 to android, I have released a couple of other games to android, and while making those I found how to make the bottom menu and the main menu larger and easier to touch on a small screen. So I made the same changes to DAR2, and created an improved version which I just uploaded.
- The bottom of the screen menu is now twice as large and the buttons spaced out making the buttons BACK, SKIP, AUTO, and MENU much easier to touch.
- The Main, and Preferences menus (text on the side) are larger and spaced apart more to make them easier to touch.
- Android version does not have a “help” section, which is normal for Renpy games on Android, instead I am uploading a “Date Ariane 2 Help” PDF on the download page, or you can go to https://arianeb.com/wiki/ for help.

Ariane in Paradise 2.01 for Android
When I made Ariane in Paradise 2.0, I was still restricted by Renpy 7.44, but I was bound and determined to get it working, so I rewrote portions of the game to make it compatible to 7.44.
When I change Rachel in 2.01, I didn’t bother upgrading the android version. Well now I can make Android in Renpy 8.5 which is the version I am currently using.

I realize that the 2.0 version has been posted for nearly 2 years, with several missing file bugs, still present, so I decided to finally update.
The 2.1 Android version works like the desktop version of the game, no downgrades, and it’s 2560×1440 resolution.
The only changes to the desktop is that the base menu is larger, the main menu is larger, and much of the text is slightly larger to make it readable.
I have not had much time to test it out, so I don’t know if everything is working perfectly, but I played through it a couple of times with no missing files or odd behavior. It’s working better than ever, but feel free to comment if you find any error messages.
