Date Ariane 2.0 now available everywhere!
I’m satisfied with the current state of the game, there may be more updates in the future, and probably a DLC at some point, but the version 2.0 with all the new graphics is ready for public release.
If you already bought the game from any source you can get the updated version immediately. The update is free.
Steam Release $9.99 (Watch for seasonal sales) I updated all the graphics on the games steam page, if you still see the old version, just refresh the page. The Achievement icons haven’t been updated, I’ll get to it this weekend. Also posted the game demo on Steam, so you can try before you buy.
itchio Release $9.00 (does not include steam achievements or library). Yes, I still haven’t been booted from Itch, Price is $1 more than before. Free update is listed there. Besides just Windows and Mac, there is a downloadable apk file there for android. Get it while it’s still possible to load apk files on your phone.
Site Store $8.00 I sent out update emails to everybody who bought it a few days ago, look for it to get the new version (check spam) It’s $1 cheaper because updates are usually not available.

It is on itch, but currently only as a 32 bit windows or android version. This will change in the future.

You’re right. Blame Google. The latest update of Android limits side loading using apk, so I haven’t made an apk version yet. I might try jut to see what happens, but if I can’t get it working on my device I won’t release it.

Do you know why the game is not available in Germany via Steam?
Has to do with laws in Germany. That’s all I know.
does your store download still need Steam and can it run on older windows?
It doesn’t need Steam, though you might get a message that Windows marks it unsafe, you just need to click “run anyways” It does require 64 bit version of windows (windows 10 or higher)
