Date Simulator 6.1
I made an unusual change to the Date Simulator, it has been on the online version for a while, thought I’d release the changes to the offline version.
I added “On mouse over” and “On mouse out” text to every link on the pictures which displays either an action (in italics) or a quote (not in italics) underneath what Ariane says. The idea is to give it a more comic book feel, while also making things easier to read and navigate on small browser windows (i.e. mobile phones). Some mobile browsers still don’t work, unfortunately, but it works well anyways.
You may notice that sometimes the text below and the text on the link does not match, this is intentional. In some places the text below is random which you can change by moving your mouse over the link, the text on the link remains generic. If the text below does not make sense, look at the link text.
Except for a couple of minor bug fixes, there is no change to game play from version 6.0.

Hi, I down loaded the latest update a few days ago. I found that it would freeze during hot tub truth or dare when I dared her to remove her top or go completely nude. It turns out file resp53a.htm is missing. I copied it from my 6.0 folder and now it works fine. By the way this is the most addictive game I’ve played. I don’t know if I should thank you or not :). Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the heads up, that is a good workaround, but I have a better solution. Just down load this file and dump the files in the main directory.

Hi there – found a little bug in DS6.1
Hot tub scene after swimming, T or D, got through flash-yer-ass and it kept going (surprise). Next was dare me to skinny dip, she removes her top and gets in an infinite loop removing her bottoms

Ack! another bug. Maybe the same I just released a patch for. Actually if nonudity=2 she should not be offering to take off her top at all.
Thanks for the patch. I like it a lot better than my work around. I played around with the bug Mark found. I can only get it to happen when nonudity is 2. If you play truth or dare long enough she will challenge the player to go skinny dipping. That is where it freezes up. Strangely in version 6.0 she will actually go skinny dipping. Then you can dance naked in the living room. You still can’t watch her shower or spend the night. It’s probably an old bug that nobody noticed.
I’m glad someone was able to replicate it. It took so long to reproduce it under the default2 screen (I couldn’t really remember how I got there) that I didn’t want to ever go back and fish it out a third time.
Looks like I’ll have to make a version 6.2 soon.

I’ve found another “bug” – file resp38f.htm is missing. And probably it’s not the only file that was omitted in the newest version. Let’s hope that we’ll get another patch. 🙂
OK, fixed both the patio hug bug and the dare to skinny dip bug and added the changed files to the mini patch linked above.

It appears there might be another bug in dress store, in version 6 I was able to shop for dresses but in 6.1 the link just gives me a page error both in the car going dress shoping and in the street view. I tried the download version and the online and get the same results. All the other shop links work for me though. Hopefully it’s not just my computer messing up.
I also get the dress store bug, but only if I use Explorer. It does not happen when using Firefox.
I have duplicated the dress shop error, and it indeed is not a problem in Firefox, but is a problem in Internet Explorer, Safari (chrome), and Opera. This is not the first time I have run into the fact that Firefox javascript works differently than the other browsers.
A change I made from 6.0 to 6.1 was to add a subroutine on text80.htm called “continue”. Unfortunately this shares a name of a little used operator in javascript, thus classified as a “reserved word”. Firefox apparently looks at the context before looking at the reserved word list. The rest are very strict about using reserve words and would toss out the whole page.
I renamed the subroutine and changed the page that calls the subroutine, error resolved. Again the changed files have now been added to the patch linked above.

This has got to be the most addictive adult game I have played you really have done a great job and I thank you for making it available to everybody. I have played it so much I think I have been able to get almost all 1,171 available pictures at some point during game play. There are three of them that have been quite elusive though. Their pic labels are “rebstrip1, 3 and 4” the three of Rebecca in the strip club but not part of the tennis instructor sequence. I was wondering if it would be too crass of me to ask if I could get a hint as to how I would get to those in game play. Once again thank you for such a great game.
