Last year I remade Ariane in Paradise in Daz Studio. The most difficult part was remaking Ariane and Rachel in Genesis 8.1, I think I ultimately got Ariane pretty close except her cheekbones are too wide which I narrowed since finishing AIP, but Rachel proved a bigger problem…

You can now get Hopepunk City on Steam, at this address. You may need to sign in to Steam ad do the age check thing to see it. The price is $9, a dollar less than my other games, and for the first week it’s 15% off. It coincides with the Steam Visual Novel fest, which only Something’s in the Air Redux qualifies, so it will be on sale that week too. Date Ariane Remastered and Ariane in Paradise will be part of the Steam Spring Festival sale later this month.

To finish the 2.0 project, I got a working Android version for Ariane in Paradise 2.0. To make it more compatible for phones, I shrank the resolution to 1920×1080 and basically used the 1.5 version with 2.0 graphics. Not as good as the PC version — couldn’t include the new special effects like changing clothes or background scrolling on hikes — but the game now works on your phone with better Daz Studio graphics.

I never actually made a “Demo” for Ariane in Paradise. Ariane in Paradise too.
That all changed this month with the release of Ariane in Paradise 2.0 which uses Daz graphics instead of my traditional Poser graphics. It is now different enough to demand it’s own demo for potential buyers.

Getting Ariane in Paradise 2.0 ready to release, should be available this month, but decided to release the 2.0 trailer and lets play early so you can see what it’s like with the new graphics. You Tube is limiting the resolution to 1080p, but the game will be in 1440p so even better than shown.

Changing characters to new models is hard. I’ve done it multiple times, and it is always a disaster. Converting from V4.2 to G8.1 was probably the easiest to do. Partly because G8.1 is a really great model, and partly because I’ve made every mistake in the book when it comes to changing models, and know how to avoid the worst… sometimes.
