Date Ariane 2.0 is now live at all download locations.

Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 is the complete 2560×1440 graphic overhaul of the popular Date Ariane game, with the added ability to play as a male or as a female character. The avatar actions first seen in Ariane in Paradise have been imported to Date Ariane Remastered. The house, backyard, and many other locations have been remodeled and modernized, along with new casual wear and formal wear.

Differences between Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 (2026) and 1.5 (2022):

1. The default game resolution is 2560 x 1440.  This will be especially noticeable on a 3K or 4K monitor now that the graphics have been updated to Daz renders. The game will still work fine in 1080p

2. The player character avatars have been updated. Better looking avatars.

3. The beginning of the game has radically changed, and new introductory text added. Many things have been rearranged, especially the first part. Instead of having multiple opportunities to ask questions during dinner, those questions are now asked on the couch before dinner. Pre-dinner game endings haven’t changed, so game could still be really short if you act badly.

4. Like before the rules consist of demonstrating nice, funny, smart, and sexy traits, but instead of unlocking everything by doing all 4, you unlock personality points that are used as you do activities. Different activities require different points, I’ll put out a list of which are which.

If it sounds confusing, it generally works the same as Remastered, but activities that used to be easy might be a little harder, and activities that used to be hard might be a little easier. There was a stat called “no nudity” that has been eliminated, it used to be triggered by failing a puzzle, but now completing puzzles earn “impression” points which replace personality points when needed. You need to make at least 2 impressions before nudity can be unlocked. A new “realistic” mode of the game ups this to 4 which will eventually be reached.

The BIGGEST change is that most post dinner “soft” endings have been eliminated, which meant the game may start looping until you reach a hard ending. This is how the original HTML game worked.

5. All the music has been changed. Got the music from Tune Pocket. Added new music to the drive downtown and the museum tour.

6. I went through the game line by line looking for grammar, spelling, and clarity mistakes, and re-wrote several old lines to make them better, often shorter. Then voiced them all. Rebecca has been completely re-voiced to a better sounding voice (Veronica from SITAR or Samantha from DiaWoF), as her voice occasionally sounded annoying before.

7. Text by default has switched to standard Visual Novel format, where text appears at the bottom with a color coded name of who’s talking.  But you can switch back to classic “comic” mode used in 1.0 to 1.5 versions.

8. I eliminated the help screen walkthroughs, I’m experimenting with emoji icons next to choices that are potentially bad. They are optional of course. Also an “Anxiety” mode loosely based on The Stanley Parable that acts as a game tutorial for the first part of the game, also optional.

9. I added some background music, and a new volume control to control it. It’s another Visual Novel staple you can play or mute as you wish. I chose music that is either relaxing or fun to match the spirit of the game. All background music is looped.

Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 is currently only available in English, I do not know when or if translations will be available.
